Kay Stover with her Renderings
Kay grew up with an imaginative mind, always reworking her American girl doll’s apartment. Today she combines her imagination, drive, and creative talent to bring customer’s dreams to life. Kay finds inspiration in Art Nouveau and nature based designs, she enjoys the curvilinear lines and history in the furniture.
During her time at WCU Kay found the most enjoyment in her perspective drawing class. This class emphasizes the importance of rending material to help customers visualize the designs. She can combine her love of art and drawing with her love of problem solving. The renderings allow for her clients to give feedback. She then receives critique, and she described the feedback as giving her an opportunity to be creative within constriction.
Kay loves the ability Interior Design has to satisfy customers as well as advance her creative thinking skills. Working with new styles, building codes, and universal design gives her inspiration to make a more inclusive design. By applying universal code Kay makes her work accessible to all kinds of people. We appreciate Kay’s talent and applaud her conscientious design.
